Monaco

We hop on the train for the 10 minute ride east to the Principality of Monaco.

This is a place we had to see. Now down of the harbor, we see the largest collection of super yachts from around the world. Can you see Jungle? No you can't.

We hop on the guided tour bus and get a two day pass so we can see this place in detail.

A nice view from the open air bus.

We'll do the "once around" before hopping off to see places we want.

This is a famous area with the Paris Cafe on the left, Monte Carlo Casino in the center and Hotel Le Paris on the right. We'll come back.

Princess Grace Gardens. We'll come back.

Monte Carlo over the marina. Monte Carlo stands for Mount Charles in honor of the prince who brought in the gambling - smart idea. That put Monaco on the map. Before then it was citrus farms.

Plenty of big boats in Port Hercule.

Now we are at the older port - Port de Fontvieille. More our style. The palace grounds are above.

We hop off the bus to check out some sights.

Right to the bar a Hotel Le Paris. OK, 4 martinis, bill is $150. Yahtzee !! We gotta do it once.

Oh yeah, very nice cars in Monte Carlo.

We are heading back to the train to go home we'll be back in the AM. Nice church.

We're back.

Time for a stroll through Princess Grace Gardens.

I brought my princess with me.

Back to the casino area for a stop at the Paris Cafe.

Nice stop.

Back on the tour bus for a ride to the palace.

This place is immaculate. We are here for the noon time changing of the guard.

Crowds start to gather.

And that would be the guard.

Going through his routine.

Here comes the change.

Everyone in time.

In position.

Changing of the guard complete. 5 minutes to the second - well done.

A view of the harbor from up top.

Great day.

Nice streets.

And more shopping. Jenée is in heaven.

Nice churches inside ...

... And outside.

Busy place.

Nice view of Port de Fontvieille.

We had a 9 year old kid shoot this. Nice job.

Now my turn.

Another pretty church outside ...

... And inside.

The Monaco Oceanagraphic Institute is impressive.

As is this fountain and view of a Hotel Le Paris.
