Ciao Amalfi

We set sail out of Acciaroli around 10 AM (0800 Hrs UTC) and came into view of Amalfi around 4 PM.

As we approach the harbor, the local marina guys motor out to help us in.

We will see many beautiful towns like this on the Amalfi Coast - colorful buildings running straight up the mountainsides.

That building in the center is a convent turned hotel.

Did I mention straight up the mountainside?

We stroll from the Marina to the center of Amalfi.

Of course the town center includes the church.

Plenty of visitors.

We are heading up the narrow streets to check the town out.

Much to see here.

We find this display of little buildings - no explanation as to its purpose.

The mountains are impressive.

Gee Jim, aren't we light on the text today? One may ask.

Bite me.

Back at the marina we get ready for dinner.

The next morning Jenée greets the sunrise.

The town takes on a different look in the morning light.

And over the Mediterranean. We will head that way (west) in a few hours.

The lighting is wonderful.

Nice job by Jenée the cameraperson.

Nice shot of Amalfi proper.

Jungle is in the center and the restaurant where we ate dinner, just behind.

A different view across the marina.

A look down the sea wall bordering the marina.

Another view of Jungle.

And down the sea wall we go.

Love the views of the town.

One last look before we head out. Off to Positano - 90 minute sail away. I can do that!
