Nisos Lefkas

We sailed south from Skorpios back to Nisos Meganisi and Port Atheni.

This is a nice little harbor with beaches all around. We'll check those out on our bikes.

We biked around a bit and dropped in on a nude couple on the other side of the island, so we came back to this beach and bathing suits. Bravo!

It has a taverna close by for later.

We go for a swim and enjoy the view.

So did this couple.

We liked the taverna and they made Jenée a very good Mojito.

We enjoyed looking out from the taverna.

Plenty to see.

The next morning, Jenée gets this photo of sheep (or fluffy goats) taking their morning salty drink.

The anchorage and harbor are like glass.

A nice start to the day.

We head north to the island of Lefkas and the port town of the same name.

Lefkas is separated from mainland Greece by a marsh and a canal was cut about 2000 years ago to make it an official island.

That's Lefkas off our port stern as we move up the canal.

Most of the boats are charter boats (rentals) heading south.

Looking north we see Lefkas on the left, Greece on the right.

A closer look at Greece. At its closest point it is 100 meters (yards) away.

Jungle is at dock in the Capitol town also called Lefkas. Just off to the left (port) in the distance is the floating bridge that we will pass by on our way north towards Corfu.

But for now there is work to do! Since we got bigger batteries, we now need a bigger alternator and regulator. I'll get the experts in to help with this as we also need a wiring upgrade to go with it.

We met a very nice couple from Serbia, Gordana and Andrja (Andre) Dragonovic. We decided to head out to dinner together. The ladies evidently decided tonight's dress theme is black.

Andrja and I didn't get the memo, but we look pretty sharp.

They brought along there poodle named Lion. I dig a bad ass poodle. Lion was fun.

After dinner we go for a stroll while Gordana takes pictures.

Here's a happy couple.

Now here's a happier couple because Andrja and I are buying ice cream! Opah. Great night.
