Spain - Espana!

Jim and Jenée in front of Cadiz monument - sweet. Adios amigos.

Cadiz monument.

Cadiz is a network of narrow streets and shops. All pointing to the sea as it is basically an island city. We loved this place and will definitely come back.

Cadiz is very proud of their reltionship with the USA. They were the #1 tarding post with the new world and this gold dome was the landmark American ships used to enter port.

Spectacular view from the tower.

Complete with a crypt below the altar.

Spectacular altar inside the church.

We're serious tourists so it's off to the Cathedral of Cadiz. It's about a billion years old - I think. Could be wrong.

And great restaurants! I got this hanging fish thingie - wonderful.

Cadiz has a beautiful beach. We're looking at Victoria beach - one of Europe's top rated beaches.

We took a ferry from Santa Maria to Cadiz, one of the oldest cities in the world - 3000+ years old. The Phoenecians settled this area originally. I used to live in Phoenix, so I know. We decided to go the full tourist route and take the double decker bus. You haven't lived until you've been on a double decker baby!

We sailed to Puerto Sherry, Spain (that's right, they make sherry there). We strolled around Santa Maria and had a great dinner. This is Castello San Marcos - built in the 15th century. We would have visited, but their hours of operation did not align with ours, so we slept! Cool castle.
