Moving on South in the Bahamas

And all storms must pass. Another beautiful end to the day.

Quite a show to watch.

We knew a change in weather was coming, and change it did. The winds spun around 180 degrees from the south to the north and climbed over 70 kts (84 mph+). Hurricane force winds for 30 minutes make all the boats in the harbor look like they're sailing!

From Guana Cay, we sailed to the main Abacos Island and Marsh Harbor. Just in time for a nice sunset over the harbor.

On our way back in to Sunset Beach.

We caught a great Bahamian trio playing on Sunset Beach.

Back on the western side - about 300 yards to the quiet harbor.

As with all the islands, a coral reef protects the eastern side of the island. Great for snorkeling which is why we are here.

Next stop - Guana Cay and a famous restaurant/bar called Nippers. It is on the Atlantic side of the island.

We're on a waterfront stroll on our way out of Green Turtle Cay. Beautiful place.

I took this photo before leaving Green Turtle Cay. This is a statue (American flying British flag) in a park commemorating the exodus of pro England (called Loyalists) Americans from persecution in the 13 colonial states to the Bahamas. Getting multiple sides of an historical event is always interesting.
