Hi, Jim. Rick B passed along the link to your blog -- hope you don't mind. Bonnie and I will envy you every day of your sailing life. We sold our boats in the Caribbean when we built here in NH about five years ago and, although we just completed a new 28 foot sail boat for here on the lake, it's not the same as the ocean.

I'm dying to know what the boat is. Looks very seaworthy!

Hi Tom,

I'm glad Rick forwarded the link to you, good to hear from a fellow sailor. The boat is a Mandarin 52, built at Seahorse Marine, Zhongshan, China (Hong Kong). It's a full keel, shallow draft (5') Motorsailor. When we delivered from Hawaii we motored at 6 kts most of the 2500 mi home. It's a well built boat with tons of room. We spent a lot of time looking, found Jungle in New Zealand and are very happy with her. All the best, Jim

Lord God, we depend on you for life itself. Watch over Jim and Jenee as the sale around the world experiencing the majesty of Your creation, keep them from danger, befriend them in loneliness and bring them safely home to those they love. Grant them your strength and protection and keep them in the hours of special need; for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

you lucky dogs you~!!!!.. have a blast. We will watch you all the way to florida. If you get to Costa Rica at any time, can you get me a rock? just a small rock about the size of your fist. I gave mine to a friend who wanted to go to CR really bad and I let her have it, but I collect rocks from around the world, or in my case the carribean and south america. maybe on your next trip further south. We will see you when you get here to sunny FLA. all our love to you both. Linda and John

OK Linda, ALthough I may be tempted get a rock from the marina parking lot and paint Costa Rica on it! Naw, I'll get the real McCoy.
