Family visiting

Perfect day for a ride and a stroll. Great having Mike and Monica visit with us.

Landmark lifeguard tower on Laguna Beach.

Aah, to be newlyweds on the beach! Mike and Monica had a beautiful wedding ceremony on the beach in Cancun. Unfortunately, the Jungle crew was trapped in the Mediterranean Sea.

Hey Mike take a shot for us. And make sure you drop us down and get mostly sky, will you bro?

Perfect!

Destination: you guessed it - Laguna Beach!

Putting along the Southern California Freeways.

Cruisin' on down the road.

Monica has never been on a hog before and was more than a little nervous. However, once she mustered up the courage and hopped on, she was hooked! She said we created a monster, she loves riding. Proves once again, chicks dig Harleys!

Group photo.

Getting ready to hit the road.

Since we have 2 Harleys we decided to saddle up and head back to Cook's Corner.

Jenée always enjoys spending time with baby brother Mike - all 6' 5" of him.

Monica owns multiple stores in Monterrey, Mexico that provides upscale kitchen appliances and products for homeowners. Quite the businesswoman. Brother-in-law Mike manages the Latin American business for Amada - a Japanese supplier of equipment to support, among others, the hi-tech business. Small world.

First stop was a superb Italian at La Betola in Yorba Linda. Now that's a meatball!

On Mike's plate.

Jenée's brother Mike Webber and his new bride Monica Crombe spent a few days with us in SoCal. Mike and Monica live in Cancun, Mexico and manage their businesses from there - poor kids, tough life. But that's what Jenée and I like to do; give back to the less fortunate. We're wonderful that way!

Now Featuring: Tower of Power

Here's a small sample of "You're Still a Young Man".

Ah ... memories.

Road trip to Northern California

Here's a blast from the past! Dave set us up with a small concert with "Tower of Power". This band has been together for over 40 years (three original members remain). I remember them when I was a kid! They're two biggest songs are probably "You Got to be Having Fun" and "You're Still a Young Man". As you can see - lots of horns. As always, we had a blast. Our thanks to Dave and Gretch.

We all dug our dinner. Dave and I met at GenRad in 1978. That means we've been hanging together for over 33 years - great friend. Gretch and Dave have been together for over 23 years. Wow, how time flies.

Dave treated us to an evening out - starting with Sushi.

We made a road trip up to Northern Cal to visit with our pals - Dave and Gretchen Ranhoff (and Elana and Kaela). We always have a blast with the Hoffs.

Harley Davidson goes to Laguna Beach

Before we're done we stop at our favorite gelato shop. That's right, I said gelato. I forget the name of it, but it's in there. I like anything ice cream. I think it's critical to a successful recovery, possibly.

See you soon.

Did I mention we love to eat?! It's true.

We stopped for Cerviche at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. This is one of those tourist-y places that's still a good place to stop.

Is that a margarita?? I'm cured !!! OK, that's enough.

Jenée and I lived in this town for 4 years, before we left for our Jungle voyage. We absolutely love this place. 82 degrees in early January, on the beach. Only in SoCal.

We continued down to Laguna Beach. We're overlooking main beach.

As you can see, a pretty quiet day at Cook's. There's Jenée. We're waiting on our grilled chicken sandwich - a specialty at ole' Cook's.

It was a beautiful Southern California day - sunny, 82 degrees. Jenée and I decided to saddle up and head over to Cook's Corner. This is a long time biker bar at a nice country location. Our ride is the second one in.
